Shipping & delivery
• Our delivery costs range from €15 to €20 and are added to your cart before purchase.
• We accept online payment in Euro, through Mastercard, Visa and PayPal. All prices are shown as inclusive of VAT where applicable.
• Please note that we no longer deliver to the UK.
• All orders are usually dispatched within 3 days. However due to the volume of orders at busy times of the year this may vary. We are currently experiencing longer courier delivery times for all orders during Covid-19 due to increased volume and our deliveries can take up to 10 to 14 working days.
• We make every effort to ensure that stock availability on our website is kept up to date. However, from time to time a product might say online that it is in stock but may have been sold that day from our nursery. In this situation we will endeavour to bring it back into stock as quickly as possible and you will be notified of any delay this may cause. Alternatively, a similar product of equal or greater value may be substituted in its place or a refund can be issued.
• All items should be unpacked immediately once you receive them and follow instructions on unpacking and care of plants. (see below)
What to do when my plants arrive?
Bareroot plants:
Every care is taken to ensure that your plants arrive in the best possible condition. Once your plants arrive, we advise that you open your parcel immediately. This will allow your plants to access some nice fresh air. Immediately after that, submerge roots of bareroot plants in a bucket of water for a few minutes. Then put them back in the bag and tie the bag. Your plants will be fine in the bags for a few days but must be stored in a shed/cool place. If you can’t plant bareroot plants within the first few days of receiving them, you should temporarily heal your plants into soil until you can move them to their permanent place.
We cannot be responsible for failures due to drought, frost, unsuitability of site, poor planting technique, chemical spray damage, rabbit/animal damage, strimmer damage or other factors outside of our control. However, if your plants appear to be struggling, please contact us and we will advise on the best way to look after them.
Terms and conditions: Returns Policy
Returns, change of mind
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, or you change your mind, you may return it, in the original packaging within 7 days of receipt of the item. To exercise your right of return please contact us by email regarding this to sales@doonwood.com and quote your order number. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any returns prior to being notified of this request. Products must be returned in their original condition with all packaging and documentation. We recommend that customers get a “proof of return” from your shipping agent to guarantee packages are safely returned. Regrettably, we can take no responsibility for your returned products lost in transit. You must pay for the return delivery charge and we cannot refund the original packing and delivery charge. Once goods are received and we are happy with their condition we will refund you via the original payment method.
Returns, damaged goods
We take upmost care to pack our plants so they arrive in the best possible condition. In the unlikely event that your plants arrive damaged, please send photos by email to sales@doonwood.com so we can assess damage. Depending on the extent of the damage to the plant(s), we will send on replacements (if available) or offer a refund.
