Acer ‘Bloodgood’ is an ideal tree for smaller gardens or patios areas. They bloom in spring and this is when their foliage is often at its brightest. The colour darkens from red to burgundy in summer while the leaves can become brighter again in Autumn. It is hard not to fall in love with Japanese Maples due to their unique shape, foliage and colours. Acers do however need to be planted in a more sheltered position particularly on this windy Island of ours! ‘Bloodgood’ is attractive through all seasons of the year and will eventually grow to a height of approximately 3 metres.
