James Grieve Apple Tree is a multi-purpose apple tree. The apples can be used for eating, cooking and juicing. James Grieve apples are slightly larger than average apples while they have a yellow-orange skin with lots of red streaks. Fruit can be harvested early in the season and used for cooking. However if you leave them for a month or so longer you have a very tasty apple with an unusual texture. James Grieve apple trees grow well in cooler areas of the country where other apple trees tend not to. They are from Group 3. They pollinate well with apple trees from this group such as the Discovery Apple Tree as well as trees from groups 2 and 4. At Doonwood Nurseries, our James Grieve Apple Trees are supplied as healthy 5 foot bareroot trees. However they will grow to over 10 foot in height
All of our fruit trees can be purchased online or at our nursery. They are available for collection or delivery throughout Ireland.
