Ilex Crenata ‘Holly Box’

Ilex Crenata is a fantastic slow growing, evergreen hedge providing year-round foliage and interest. Ilex is a great alternative to Box hedging as it does not suffer from blight. An extremely hardy and formal hedge it makes a great border, topiary, or can be used as a low-maintenance ornamental shrub. Its dense foliage and compact growth make it perfect for creating formal hedges or shaping into various decorative forms.  Ilex Crenata grows to approximately 1 to 2 meters in height with a similar spread. Pruning Advice: Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain the desired shape and size.

Our Ilex Crenata are supplied Bare rooted at approximately 1.5 foot high. Make sure to plant with plenty of compost.
