Eucalyptus Tree

The Eucalyptus Tree (Eucalyptus Gunnii), is a small to medium-sized tree, native to Australia. Featuring a mostly smooth bark, it has egg-shaped adult leaves, white flowers and cylindrical fruit. It is an extremely fast-growing, evergreen tree. It can grow up to five foot a year in Irish conditions. The beautiful and distinctive silvery, blue foliage, gives off strong aroma throughout the year, so making it popular among gardeners. Left to its own devices, the Eucalyptus Tree will grow into a large specimen tree. Alternatively, you can prune it back hard each year to therefore keep it as a shrub.
