Green Beech Hedges (Fagus Sylvatica) are native to the UK but have been planted here in Ireland for over hundreds of years. This hedge has fantastic bright foliage in spring and summer. They then showcase stunning shades of yellow and orange into autumn. They are regarded as semi-evergreen as, when pruned in August, most of the leaves can remain during winter. Beech has a medium growth rate and can therefore be easier to maintain than other evergreen hedges.
